What Causes Menstrual Pains And Headache Despite Taking Paracetamol?

I am a 71 year old female and I am experiencing what feels like period pains together with feeling sickly and headachy.I have had similar episodes before once with a small bleed but since then no bleed. I am taking two paracetamol but they are not helping a great deal. I know I have a cyst on each ovary and am presently waiting on a Ultrasound scan to give up to date information. This all takes time but I am nervous as to what is going on and fearful of putting up with this discomfort in case this needs prompt attention. This episode has gone on for 3 days - your advice would be much appreciated. Thank you. Linda
