What Causes Memory Loss And Slurred Speech?

My wife experienced impaired speech and loss of memory for 10 minutes in speaking on the phone in front of my daughter My daughter said my wife was having difficulty putting words together then came back and did not recall the episode at all Then she seemed fine did not want to go to hospital and went to sleep stating all she needed was rest Should we be worried or just watch her closely

I think this episode is probably a TIA or may be a sign of other brain disorders.

Probably an MRI should be done to evaluate the situation.
