What Causes Lumps Behind The Head?

I have a very small lump on the back of my head. It s been there for about a couple weeks. It s hard and immobile. My mother just tells me that it may just be the fact that all skills aren t shaped perfectly. Is this lump a bad thing? It doesn t hurt, not even when I touch it.

Hello and welcome to HCM,
A hard lump at the back of head needs to be investigated.
In fact any lump in any part of the body should be investigated.
The exact location of the lump needs to be known to put forth any possibility.
In case the lump is in nape of neck then it is probably an enlarged lymph node.
Infection or inflammation can lead to enlargement of lymph node in nape of neck.
A hard lump may be due to bony swelling and in that case a Ct scan of head and neck region will be required.
I suggest you to consult your primary healthcare provider for clinical assessment, relevant investigations and thus management.

Thanks and take care
