What Causes Lump Under The Skin Of Buttock Post Injury?

About 2 weeks ago I tripped on cord in house and fell on my butt on a tile floor. It was black and blue and purple but now going away. However, all brushing was on left side. I feel a bump under the skin on left side of butt. It was sore but now that is subsiding. Still feel the bump, it is going away but still there and hurts still a little. Why did that bump appear by falling on my butt?

Hello and welcome to HCM,
The fall on your but has caused soft tissue injury to the skin and soft tissues of the but.
Color change from blue to black is due to hematoma formation.
Hematoma formation is due to internal bleeding and collection of blood.
Feeling of bump in the region is also due to hematoma formation in depper tissue.
Hematoma clear away with resorption and fibrosis.
Fibrosis can be responsible for firmness of the bump felt in deeper tissues.
If the pain is troubl some you can use pain killer and hot fomentation to relieve the pain.

Thanks and take care
