What Causes Lump On Bottom Of Proximal Phalanx?

After I had fractured my right index finger a couple months ago, when it had healed it left me with a tiny lump on the bottom left of my proximal phalanx. The lump is only visible when my finger is bent, when it is straight nothing can be seen. I m not sure what it can be. Thanks.

HI.
Thanks for your query and an elucidate history.
The small lump on the bottom of proximal phalanx can be due to the following factors:
-Callus, the bone's effort to heal the bone properly- sometimes takes time to get re-modelling or resorption.
- Tenosynovitis on the tendon or the capsule of the joint van be prominent as you have mentioned.
I would recommend the following:
Take an anti-inflammatory tablet in proper duration and proportion. Hot water bath to the affected area were , the water being a strong solution of common salt, use the same solution again and again in spite of being dirty later.

I hope this answer helps you get a clearer picture , proper diagnosis.
This leads to a proper treatment.
