What Causes Lump In The Nipple Of A Child With Diabetes?
my 11 year old daughter- who has type 1 diabetes- just told me that she has a lump under her nipple. I thought this might be the begining of puberty, but she said that she had a lump before under both nipples, but it went away, and now it is under just one. Not sure if this is normal. I did feel a small soft bump that moves a little when pressed. she said it is sore, but doesn t hurt alot.
Noted the history about your 11 year daughter saying about a lump under the nipple, you are feeling a lump that is soft and moves a little on pressing, is sore but does not hurt a lot. The commonest cause can be developing breasts as you have rightly thought about. There is very rare diseases at this age hence should be taken as normally developing tissues unless proved otherwise. The anxiety can be laid off with Ultrasonography of the breasts and thus confirmed whether there is a normal breast that is developing or some sort of a lump that needs consideration and may be need a treatment. At the moment get assured by examination from a general Surgeon or a Gynecologist and counselling if required.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
