I had a small cyst removed from the shaft of my penis almost three weeks ago. The cyst wasnt that noticeable except to myself and was less than 1cm long and slightly raised. The dr removed it under a local anesthetic and used external disolving stitches, internal dissolving stitches and two internal dissolving anchor stitches at the end. I m not sure what the anchor stitches are doing but they have created two distinct lumps under neath the skin and a point where the skin looks pinched on the surfAce. The incision line is over an inch long and is very hard and thick underneath the skin, not sure if this is undissolved internal stitches or scar tissue or both. I have asked the dr when I can start applying bio oil and start massaging the scar to try and make this disappear. He didn t answer my question and just said the process can take over 12 months to heal, Which I was never told beforehand. So now instead of a small cyst that was barely noticeable I have two raised lumps and a very firm scar/stitches line that is obvious to the eye by even more so to touch.
