What Causes Lump Behind My Ear With Headaches?

Found a lump behind my ear. Doubtful it is a lymphnode because I was told the bump is too high by a nurse. When touched it is tender. Not red or swollen. It is about the size of my finger tip. Started getting really bad headaches in my ear and all around. Becoming dizzy often.
