What Causes Lower Left Abdominal Pain While Birth Control Pills?

I ve been having a sharp pain, almost like a stabbing sensation where it seems to by my left ovary. What could be the cause of that? I am supposed to get my menstrual cycle in a few days. I am on birth control, and am sexually active. I have never had this happen before, is there any chances of me being pregnant? Or what else might the pain be caused by..?

Hi, I think pain can be a premenstrual symptom. But just to be sure that you are not pregnant because sometimes you can be pregnant while on birth control pills. Hope I have answered your question.
