What Causes Lower Back Pain While Treating UTI?
I was diagnosed with a uti, and prescribed Cipro 2 pills every 12 hours for 3days. My symptoms haven t gotten better or worse. I have lower back pain on my right side and pain in my ureathra everytime I have to urinate. I do not have a fever, nausea or chills and my urine is clear. I m on my last dose of Cipro, how long does it take to feel results from this type of antibiotic? Should I wait 24hours to see if my condition improves? Any advice would be much appreciated.thank you

There should be some improvement of symptoms after the first few days of the antibiotic so you should have a change by this time.
It is possible that the bacteria causing the infection is resistant to the antibiotic chosen.
You may need a repeat urine analysis to take a look at which antibiotics would work best.
