Hi. Iam a female 67 years old. I started taking Norvasc about 6 months ago at a daily dose of 5 mg.. I started experencing lower back pain and flushing a mouth after starting treatment. Is this a known side effect Or maybe some thing else going on. I didnt take my normal dose last night and I didnt have these side effects but I did notice they came back a hour after taking the med. General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

It may be due to spine related problems like disc prolapse.
Consult a neurologist and plan for an MRI spine for further assessment.

Hope I have answered your query.
Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Shinas Hussain, General & Family Physician
