What Causes Lower Abdominal Pain During Sexual Arousal In Women?
Hello Doctor,This is a problem of my girlfriend. She is having pain in the lower stomach since 2 days and some sort of fluid comes out of her vagina. We did not have sex yet but talk about sex over phone, when get gets the urge of sex it starts paining in her lower abdomen. Can you kindly suggest the necessary steps to be taken. Thanks
Hi Thanks for posting on HCM The pain you describe may or may not be caused by sexual arousal.Lower abdominal pain with vaginal fluid discharges may be caused by a pelvic inflammatory disease or STI.I will suggest she sees the Gynecologist for examination and tests.Tests that may help identify the cause of her problem may include: vaginal swap smear tests, chlamydia test and other STI work-ups if need be. Her treatment will depend on underlying cause. In the meantime, i will advise good genital hygiene and a pain/anti-inflammatory drug like ibuprofen if pain intense. Hope this will help Best regards
