What Causes Lower Abdominal Pain And Vaginal Bleeding?

Hi. I have lower abdominal pain on both sides with blood when i wipe. Not a period (I had a period a week ago). It smells nasty. The pain goes down my groin and to my lower back. Uncomfortable to sleep and I had to get up three times in the night to go to the toilet with left lower abdomen pain when I urinate

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

There are many reasons for symptoms you are having and the most common is infection which can be bacterial, fungal or parasitic. There can be other causes like hormonal imbalance related issues. I suggest you visit a gynecologist for this, a physical examination is must along with past medical history. Your doctor might advice you some blood tests, imaging tests like USG abdomen as well as other tests if needed to find out the exact reason behind it. Depending on the cause, you will be suggested appropriate treatment for quick recovery.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Manisha Auradkar, General & Family Physician
