What Causes Lower Abdominal Pain And Back Pain?

To set the tone...I suffer from back pain and have recently had a second disc herniation diagnosed. The latest one L4L5. I ve been going to Physio faithfully over the past 1 1/2 months. I have over 2 weeks now been suffering from low abdominal pain that radiates through to the back and seems separate from back pain. This is made worse by sudden downward movements and lying on my right side, in fact I cannot manage it. I went to the hospital. First an issue with my appendix was suggested, then kidney stone(s). A CT scan came back negative but showed organs to be in good shape as well as blood count.

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

Back ache is definitely concerned with the disc herniation and nerve compression possibly. The lower abdomen pain can be part of non specific intestine colic (which will not show up on any CT scan report) or else. I would suggest a physical examination in my office for the evaluation thoroughly with all previous reports and find a best solution to cure this.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
