What Causes Low White Blood Cell Count In Blood?

My sister s doctor said her white blood cell count was too low. He wants to check it again in 2 weeks to see if it changes. She wants to know why it would be low. He asked if she was feeling ok and she said all she had was a cold. She wanted me to go online to check possible reasons for this.

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hi and welcome to Healthcaremagic. Thank you for your query. I am Dr. Rommstein, I understand your concerns and I will try to help you as much as I can.
Some people have it normally and this is not sign of any diseases, but if there is significant fall then it may be some hematologic disorder but at this point thereis no need to be worried Check new vales in few weeks and see what is going on. If there is persitant fall then further blood tests should be done.
I hope I have answered you query. If you have any further questions you can contact us in every time.
Kindly regards. Wish you a good health.
