What Causes Low Hemoglobin Level After Taking Fortum And Ceftriaxone Injections?
Hii, my mother is 70 years old, she is suffering frim virus c, she takes 2 sachet of Pravotin per day, heamoglobean incraesed from 10 to 12.5, but after one month it decreased to 9.5 knowing that the last 2 weeks she catch cold and she took 5 Fortum 1gmand anitbiotic injection and 5 Seftriaxon 1gm injections , and 5 days antibiotic 500mg, can this decrease the hemoglobin?

drop in hemoglobin is probably because of her illness. Any stressful situation like infections may decrease hemoglobin production and fall in hemoglobin. Also diet is also not usually good in illness So that also contributes. So she should have healthy diet and diet rich in green leafy vegetables, dates and continue supplements. This should recover after few weeks. This is not very common for these antibiotics to cause fall in hemoglobin.
