What Causes Low Heart Rate While On Lisinopril And Amlodipine?
I am a 65 year old diabetic with rheumatoid arthritis. Felt rather lethargic and tested my blood sugar. Was at 84 but it was time for my evening meal. Took my blood pressure and it was 142/93 with a heart rate of 49. I am currently on Lisinopril, HCTZ, Clonodine, and Amlodipine for blood pressure. 20 minutes later by reading was 129/85 but the heart rate was still rather low at 50. I feel OK, but am wondering if I need to be concerned about the low heart rate?

Hello,
While your blood pressure reading is quite good but the pulse is too low. Though certain antihypertensive can cause low pulse, none of the drugs you mentioned causes low pulse so I understand its very necessary to inform your doctor and get a heart tape done to see for any cause of low pulse.
