What Causes Low Grade Fever With Bouts Of Mucus Producing Cough?

I m a 31yo male. I ve maybe had 5 fevers in my life and all of a sudden I ve had a low grade fever for three days Now. Kinda comes and goes between 98.6-100. No other major symptoms. I have a dry cough but today I started coughing up some mucus. Head feels like its going to explode when I cough. Should I see a doctor or just ride it out? I ve been rotating Tylenol and Motrin.

Hello
Welcome to hcm,
Your symptoms suggests you could be having lower respiratory tract infection. Take a course of antibiotics, if cough doesn't subside or if you have any breathing difficulties then consult your doctor and get chest xray done.

Thank you
