What Causes Low BP, Headache And Lower Back Discomfort?

Hello, I am currently experiencing some low blood pressure, headache, impaired vision, lower back discomfort. By blood pressures for the last hour or so has been 76/57 hr 114 67/44 hr 106 75/55 hr 10779/59 hr 96. It started dropping this morning 91/64 hr 115. Normally I have high blood pressure and I am currently taking Ramipril 10mg 2 times a day, Triamterene HCTZ 37.5-25mg 1 time a day. I am tired and worried about passing out when I stand up. Currently I am at work. I also has a touch of insomnia which I thought might be the problem. I don t drink, 5 2 , weigh 206lb and a casual smoker. Just wanted to know if you could tell me why I might be having these problems. Thank you Kim

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

Your blood pressure medications may need to be adjusted if your BP is dropping too low. Low blood pressure can sometimes occur as a result of reduced fluid intake, reduced salt intake, infection, blood or fluid loss. It is possible that an infection can be contributing to your symptoms. It would be best to be seen and assessed by your doctor to find the exact cause.

Hope I have answered your query.
Let me know if I can assist you further.
