What Causes Low BP Along With Dizziness And Blackouts?

My husband has been recently hospitalized for gall bladder surgery and low blood pressure causing dizziness, and blackouts. He was in rehab for 10 days and progressing well strength wise, but still dealing w/low blood pressure readings. Today around 4 pm he appeared disoriented, disturbed, angry, and was slurring his speech. He decided he needed a nap! He is under doctor s care w/an adrenal study scheduled for next week. ???

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

I think he is going through an internal hemorrhage that is causing persistent low blood pressure.

Or there is something else going on with his cardiovascular system or any possible cardiovascular event.

The desire to have a nap is due to a lack of energy caused by low blood pressure. His brain is suffering too.

Keep close following up with his caring doctor.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Albana Sejdini,
