What Causes Loss Of Hearing And Whooshing Sounds In Left Ear?

I have heard my heartbeat in my ears for several years now, but my left ear is particularly annoying at times. If I bend my head and put pressure under my ear, the noise lessens in that ear. Also when I bend over, I will get a whooshing sound in my left ear now, almost like when there is water in your ear. There is no pain, but I DID have a lot of wax in that ear and some loss of hearing, until recently, when a doctor removed it. She said that ear had a rather convoluted passage. Do you have any idea what is causing the noises?

Simply convoluted ear passage cannot cause this sort of pulsatile sound in the ear. How did you felt after removing the wax? Did your hearing improved and sound went down? Was the wax removed totally by the ENT doctor? Was the drum of ear normal looking? I think better you consult ENT doctor to rule out certain serious conditions though they are not that common. Once those serious causes are ruled out a healthy life style would be of immense help.
