Hi Dear ,
Welcome to HCM.
Understanding your concern.
Thanks for your query . The loss of hearing along with echo sounds in the ear you mention in your query can occur due to various problems . Usually this kind of sound occur when Eustachian tube (connect throat to middle ear and maintain the pressure of middle ear) get blocked due to upper respiratory track infection ,sinusitis or
post nasal drip also known as
eustachian tube dysfunction . I would suggest you to to
consult ENT specialist for proper examination and to rule out other condition like middle
ear infection or air/water bubble in ear . Doctor may prescribe
mucolytic agent like ambroxol. Doctor may also prescribe stronger antibiotics , clean wax , prescribe supplement like
ginkgo biloba and may refer you to oral surgeon if the problem is due to temporomandibular joint or
impacted tooth . For now do warm saline rinses several times a day ,give warm compresses to external ear because sometimes sound occur due to water drop in ear .
Hope your concern has been resolved.
