What Causes Loss Of Breath While Talking?

I have a problem with losing my breath when talking, eating along with coughing. When this happens I can t talk or eat I stop what I m doing and wait until the symptoms stop. I ve seen an ENT no infection was found the cough is dry but I always feel as if I am choking, as if my breathing pipe is closing up? I don t have asthma. everything that I eat causes this reaction. I have no allergies. I can excercise but it doesn t cause me to lose my breath (the same way) the Ent can not find the cause my problem?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

I think you may need to use another antibiotic. Probably a secretions culture is needed to determine the kind of antibiotic which is suitable for you. Meanwhile clean nose often with saline water. Use decongestants such pseudoephedrine. Even corticosteroid may be used to help to heal.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Olgeta Xhufka, General & Family Physician
