What Causes Loss Of Bowel Control While Coughing Severely?
I ve had a cold for about a month now. Typical symptoms included a sore throat, congestion and cough. The coughing at times is so severe, I lose control of my bowel and leak a little. This can be quite embarrassing.Is this normal or should I be concerned?

I have been through your query and i completely understand your concern.
* cough increases intra abdominal pressure and this is the main reason about your problem. This is very natural. only thing is to take care that it doesnt soil your clothes.
*secondly if you have cough for so long , it is a matter which has to be seen with great attention. since you have not mentioned about your medical chekup and treatment course , i consider you have taken them. If not next time kindly mention about it so that i can give medications.
i would have given my patients with such symptoms , anti histaminics like Cetrizene hydrochloride and monteleukast. get it prescribe if you havent taken any.
if symptoms like evening rise of temperature, sweating , chest pain occur kindly report to the physician.
