What Causes Loss Of Appetite And Nausea Post A Choleocystectomy?

I am having some stomach issues. I am a 41-year-old woman. I have 3 children. I had my gallbladder taken out this year, back in April. I m having issues with my stomach lately. I thought it was a virus. I don t have much of an appetite. I will start to eat and I have to stop after a few bites. Nausea will come. We had a big wind storm back in October before rain came. Our area is known for Valley Fever. I was out jogging that day. Don t know if that has anything to do with it. Feel the need to take an antacid just to help calm stomach acids. Tagamet seems to help some. Not sleeping well. I take probiotics on a daily basis. I take vitamins for my joints and overall health. How do I get this stomach issue resolved?

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

It could be due to gastritis. As a first line management you can try antacid-antiemetic combination like omeprazole-domeperidone for symptomatic relief.

If symptoms persists better to consult a gastroenterologist and get evaluated.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
