What Causes Loose Stools And Pus Cells In Stool Test?

Hi, may I answer your health queries right now ? Please type your query here...                                    My daughter is havin loose stools for the past 1 week and today we found out from her stools examination,the presence of plenty of pus cells.what are the causes for the same.Is it outside food or unhygienic environment?

Hi,

There are many causes for pus cells in the stool like bacillary dysentery or gastroentritis or amoebic dysentery or inflammatory bowel disease or irritable bowel syndrome or food intolerance, etc.

Yes outside food may can cause bowel infection lead to pus in stools. So get it done stool culture and microscopy. Use tablet Ofloxacine and Ornidazole twice a day for five days.

If symptoms not improved please consult your doctor he will examine and treat you accordingly.
