What Causes Loose Motions And Black Stool During Pregnancy?

Hi doctor, Today morning after having breakfast, (Semolina, Boiled egg and milk) I consumed Iron tablet as usual. I felt tired. Later after having lunch, I had loose motion black in color. Now I am feeling ok. Is there in problem which I need to contact doctor now? Will it harm my baby?

Hi,

Likely to be drug induced loose motions and black stool (iron therapy
is a proven cause for the same in pregnancy). You should stop further dose intake of iron therapy and consult your OBGY for further guidelines. Wish you fine pregnancy ahead.
