What Causes Lightheadedness After Taking Mucinex?
Today I started on cefuroxime acetic 500 mg for some respiratory issue. I also started taking mucinex and had a steroid shot. Just a few hours ago I started feeling lightheaded when I got up. Not sure if any or a combination is causing it. I am diabetic and of course I m trying to keep my blood sugars down which has been a challenge but the look like they are beginning to drop. Thank you

Mucinex is known to have dizziness as side effect. ... so your symptom can be due to the side effect.You can take half dose for time being &discuss with your doctor for continuation of mucinex change the medicine.
Control of blood sugar also carries importance....for uncontrolled diabetes can cause dizziness too.so you should get your diabetes profile checked &get necessary treament.
