What Causes Lightheadedness After Switching From Fosamax To Boniva?
I have been taking fosamax for probably 10 yrs and have recently switched to Boniva. I sometimes feel light headed and get cramps in my hands and back almost every day . I am reading that maybe it's the Boniva. I have osteopenia in my spine and osteoporosis in my hips. I had breat cancer 20 yrs ago and leukemia 5 yrs ago. I'm wondering if I should go back to the fosamax.
both the medicine are for treatment of 0steoporosis they are weekly medicine and boniva is to be given iv monthly.both are for treating osteoporosis fosamax is better. in long use there may be side effect. it is not contraindicated in leukemia and breast cancer.there is no advantage in changing the drug. difficult to with drawthe drug. can take second opinion.
