What Causes Light Periods?

I started my period a few days early this month, which was unexpected because I had none of the symptoms that I usually have. This was two and a half days ago, and my period is still really light. A little of a panty liner and when I wipe. What could cause this?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Welcome to healthcaremagic.com!

I really appreciate your concern. Irregular or early or delayed period could be due to change in sex hormones in your body. In most of the cases it is normal and does not warrant any special attention. So be relaxed.
If a lady with similar symptoms comes to my clinic I would ask her about age, normal interval between 2 cycles and any previous same incidence in the past to correlate it with any pathology.

Hope my answer has solved your query. Take Care.

Thank you.

Best Regards.
