What Causes Leg Pain 18 Years After Fibia And Tibia Repair?
Pain in leg 18 years after breaking it Hi.. so as said above I broke my leg 18 years ago when I was 13. I completely snapped both the tibia and fibia and have a plate and pins. These have never been removed and the bone (from the last xray 4 yrs ago) looks as though it has grown over the plate. So the pain. Well it s 7/10 and barely bare able. It is worse at night but not limited to only night time I suffer in the day too... I am on my feet all day but this shouldn t be a problem as I m fit and healthy and only 31 What could this pain be and how can I relieve the pain

I really appreciate your concern, such pain may not be due to old history of fracture but this could be due to some muscular spasm or may be due to some arthritic changes, better to get done the investigation to rule out other possibilities, hope this information helps, take care and have a nice day.
