What Causes Left-sided Pain Below The Ribs When I Eat?

I have a lot of pain on my left side below my ribs and I feel worst when I eat a lot or seat or stay in bed for a long time. It started about 2 weeks when I was eating a lot in an all inclusive hotel in Cancun, at first it felt like trapped gas and my stomach was bloated then I have been getting pain on and off and indigestion problem and pain in my back and shoulder at one time but it only has been in my left side. What do you think is wrong with me?
