What Causes Left Sided Headache And Lump On Occipital Lobe?
Hi, I have a headache thats on the back on my head on the left side that comes up to the top in the center and down my neck. When I went to go rub it I noticed that the normal bump on the back of my skull(occipital lobe area) is twice the size as the other side and I just noticed an additional lump just above that lump smaller in size but just as bony and sensitive to the touch. The pain seems to be increasing as time goes on
The headache which is disturbing you can be related to various reasons- which we need to diagnose. First of all, maintain a proper posture esp while sleeping and working on the computer. Use a small pillow while sleeping and do some neck stretching exercises.you can even try taking a pain killer to get some relief.
If nothing works out you need to get some investigation done - like imaging head - CT scan head. this will give us the exact cause of headaches and swelling. Then proper treatment can be planned accordingly. Also, do pay a visit to ophthalmologist for a complete eye check-up.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
