What Causes Left Sided Eye And Head Pain After Left Wisdom Tooth Extraction?

I got my lower left wisdom tooth out about 5 days ago. I'm having a lot of pain around my left eye and on my left side of my head. It doesn't really go away unless I use ice. I'm also getting clammy randomly when I'm more active. Why is this happening?

Hi..
Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..

I have gone through your query and can understand your concern...

Pain after the extraction of wisdom tooth is a common finding and is an indication of infection at the extraction site which is leading to inflammation and swelling. However pain 5 days after extraction may indicate some problem as follow:-
1. Dry socket- Dry socket is common & occurs in about 10% of cases. Dry socket occurs when the clot in socket disrupts and socket becomes pale and dry. Dry socket will require dressing of socket.
2.Another cause of pain can be a left over root piece or foreign body impacted in the extraction socket which might have become active now causing inflammation and swelling..

You should consult your dentist and get it evaluated and get an X-ray done..

Don't worry you would be fine
Hope this information helps..
