Hello and welcome to HCM,
Pain in the left side of chest most commonly occurs due to cardiac problem.
A normal ECG and echocardiography rule out primary cardiac disorder.
Associated 'gas problem' is suggestive of gastro-esophageal reflux disease (GERD)
GERD is often associate with pain in the epigastrium or lower end of sternum.
Thus, I suggest you to consult your treating doctor for further work up and prescription of required drugs.

Thanks and take care
