What Causes Left Sided Abdominal Discomfort?
I am a 59 year old female, have had some discomfort on my left side for about 30 days. I had a sonogram today and the tech took measurements and several photos on a specific area. Tech said they would get back with me in 24 hours. I am nervous to say the least, what could this be?

The tech who performs the sonogram, is not necessarily a doctor and, depending on the country you live in, they most probably will need a doctor's opinion, interpretation and confirmation in order to give you an answer.
