What Causes Laziness And Lack Of Concentration In A Child?

Hi. my son is 12 years old and i struggle constantly with getting him to do anything. It is like he struggles to stay concentrated on any task given to him. He is very lazy when it comes to helping out in the home as well. Is this normal behaviour for a 12 yr old boy?

Children are not inherently lazy. Many times they do not feel a sense of achievement and growth which makes them apathetic and unmotivated.
Many teens would prefer to do nothing but lie about, play video games and rely on their parents for all their needs. This is a temporary condition and usually due to complicated emotional and psychological landscape in teenage group.
Consult child psychologist. He may help you to get rid of the problem.
