General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

Polyps are precancerous and can lead to full blown cancer. Regular follow up is required and annual colonoscopy is required. If anything suspicious is seen it is better to go for surgery. Diet has limited role and you can take fiber rich die for smooth bowel movements. Consult a gastro surgeon and he will direct you accordingly.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
