What Causes Large Lump At The Centre Of The Chest With Pain On Pressure?

Hello, My wife was brushing something off my shirt and the gentle touch of her hand touch the xiphoid Process in my chest, there has always been an issue with getting slightly bumped or hit there and it feels like I am dying and I panic. I have had this issue as far back as I can remember. I felt it tonight and now it has been 20minutes and I still feel weird inside. I have searched and searched but never get an answer. I have this fear something is going to hit me just right and I am not going to pull out of it? When I push my chest out a little and suck in my stomach it is obvious there is a good size lump in the very center?
