What Causes Lack Of Equalization Of The Ear While Diving?

Hi, I am Pavan. 2 months back I took a course in scuba diving and dived in sea for four times (2-12 meter deep, 2 18 meter deep). in all the four dives I observed that I had a little bit difficulty equalizing my left ear for surrounding water pressure , though my right ear got equalized very easily. I had to put extra effort to equalize my left ear. Could some some one tell me what is the problem? Right now I have no problem with both my ears.

Hi,

Did anytime you felt your ears were blocked? The sudden lack of equalization can happen when both the ears are not getting equal pressure of water while you dive into the sea. So, before you dive into sea next time make sure your ears are clean and devoid of any wax.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
