What Causes Knot Behind Ear Post Insect Bite On Shoulder Blade?
I got stung beside my left sholder blade by what I assumed was a wasp but not sure now. Im a Directv technician and spent about another hour outside of this persons home before I noticed a thumb size knot behind my left ear then noticed a second one above it. As I left their house I noticed the 2 knots felt like they became one. Now I am just debating on whether I should run up to the ER or not?
Allergic reactions can manifest in different ways and it is quite possible that you the symptoms are related to an allergic response to the insect sting.
If you have a history of severe reactions to insect stings then you should go to the ER. If there is no such history then the use of oral anti histamines should be enough to help reduce the reaction. If the reaction worsens then you can visit your doctor for assessment.
I hope this helps
