Hi,I am Dr. Gopal Goel (Orthopaedic Surgeon). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have a tenderness on my knee that feels like the skin is raw. On occasion, if I kneel or crawl (as in across the bed) the skin is horribly painful. What comes to mind is a motorcycle accident that resulted in serious road rash. If I forgot the wound it would. I examine the leg and find nothing. This could go on for hours or days. It also could completely disappear for days. I have full use of the leg/knee most of the time, but not always.
This condition is generally not the result of any old injury in the knee. You have to rule out any swelling in the skin over knee- could be a bursa. I suggest you visit your doctor and take his opinion regarding bursa.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Gopal Goel,
Orthopedic Surgeon
