Hi,I am Dr. Gopal Goel (Orthopaedic Surgeon). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hey, every so often a muscle near to the inside of my right knee starts twitching uncontrollably, it s not painful or anything it just feels weird. They continue for short amounts of time but some are longer or shorter than other times. What could it be and should I get checked out?
Muscle twitching is not very serious issue. It usually happens when there is anxiety or hypertension or high thyroid level. Some time it can happen with out any obvious causes. It is called idiopathic fasciculation. So my suggestion to you is that get your all above mentioned test , if there is any thing abnormal then it needs to be corrected and if every thing is with in normal range then you can wait for some time and things will improve by its own.
