What Causes Joint Pain, Hair Loss And Strong Smelling Urine?

I am 42 and a diabetic for 34 years. I currently am having issues with muscle and joint pain and also hair loss and a strong smelling urine. I can only stand on my legs for about 5 minutes before I have to sit down and breath. My hair was full and thick less then a year ago, now it is dull and thin. I feel terrible most days and feel just plain sick.

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.

Thanks for your question. I do understand your pain and discomfort. I have seen many cases with similar complaints. As per your history, please find my advice below:

1. Do Full blood count with differential
2. Check your sugar level and correct it
3. Check your body temp and record it up to 72 hours if temp found then ruled out malaria
4. Check your urine(RE/ME) culture & bile salt and pigments
