What Causes Jelly Like Worm Discharge In The Stool?

I had a bowel movement today and it was fairly soft. When I flushed it went down but when I looked in the toilet it looked like there was a worm in the bottom of the bowl. It wasn t moving and it was very jelly and light brown. It looked like there was mucus on it. I took it out of the toilet but it didn t really look like a worm and when I touched it with a fork it just mushed apart . should I go see a doctor ?
