Hi, It is possible that she may have another infection, this time of the gastrointestinal tract. This can present with vomiting. Viral illnesses can be associated with a rash, this is called viral exanthem. Infection of the gastrointestinal tract is the most common cause of acute vomiting and/or diarrhea though there are other causes as well. In most cases, treatment can consist of fluid replacement which is given in very small aliquots to make sure that it is tolerated along with medication such as Pepto Bismol and Dramamine.
