What Causes Itchy Rashes All Over The Body?

I have been getting a rash in random places on my body for the past few months. Recently, in the past few weeks it has gotten worse. I will start to itch and sometimes develop small white bumps. The itching tends to make it worse. It lasts about 20 minutes and appears in different places on my body each time. The small bumps look like they could be hives but I can t think of what could be causing this. No new soap, lotion etc. Any help is greatly appreciated!

Hello,

To ease itchy rashes you are suggested to wear loose fitting soft cotton clothes, take care of your hygiene, take bath regularly. Wash your clothes in hot water and do not share your toiletries. Avoid allergens that may trigger rashes. Be careful about what you eat & stay away from dust, pollen, pollutants, etc. Do not use strong chemical soaps, deodorants, perfumes or detergents. Avoid too much exposure in the sun.

Cold compress may help. You can apply a thin layer of hydrocortisone ointment to ease itching. Calamine lotion and soframycin ointment are equally effective. Orally you can take non sedating anti histamines. However, you are suggested to get clinically examined by a dermatologist to detect if it is hives. Hives are treated with a course of oral corticosteroids.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
