Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My granddaughter has got mosquito like bumps all over after playing in a lake with her sisters, don t know what they are. Also she has no fever head ache or loose or abnormal bowl issues. They approx 40/60 all over except not on her hears scalp face palms of her hands souls of her feet. She does however have them in her mounts they are red with a white middle like a pimple in a lot of me, they itch she says, .
As per your description, this itchy bumps are most likely a boil or cellulitis or cystic acne but visual inspection of the lesion will confirm the diagnosis.
Mostly this kind of itchy bumps are due to bacterial infection like staphylococci or streptococci.
She should do some blood works,ESR to rule out any infection.
She must take antibiotics (cephalosporins preferably like droxyl 500) with analgesics and anti-inflammatory to get rid off that.
After treatment these bumps might burst out leading to pus drainage or blood drainage. You wash them with savlon and water.
Only 3 days course of antibiotics Would be sufficient.
Consult surgeon for further advise.
