What Causes Itchy Boils On The Genital Area?

Hello, I m a 25 yr old guy. I ve recently started getting small boils in my pubic area. I ve been sexually inactive for a year now. I have 3-4 boils only and that has been the case since it started. These boils are not at all itchy or irritable. They aren t painful either. I maintain good hygiene and I m worried about what s happening. Have I contracted an STD? I ve always used protection while having sex. I have one on my scrotum, one on my inner right thigh and one at the underside on my penis. Please advise, I m really worried.

Hello
Thanks for query .Based on what you have described I would state that you have developed multiple Sebaceous cysts over genital area.

However this needs to be confirmed by qualified General Surgeon or Urologist.

The skin in genital area is rich in sebaceous glands and hence prone to get more sebaceous cyst due to accumulation of sebum beneath the skin.

Normally they fade away without treatment however they need to be treated if increase in size or get infected.

Please consult qualified General Surgeon for clinical evaluation and further treatment.

If needed some of them which are bigger may need to get excised in Toto (Completely along with the sac)
