Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I began taking Augmentin 875 this evening. I am experiencing generalized itching but no anaphylactic reactions. I am also taking Fluoxetine 200 mg daily, as I get very severe fungus infections. Should I be concerned about the itching, and should I take anymore Augmentin? I have never been allergic to Penicillin.
Augmentin is not something you take for fungal infections, I guess you have not consulted a doctor before taking the medicines, you also wrote about fluoxetine which is also a medicine that is not for treatment of fungal infection. I would suggest you to stop taking these medicines and go to see a dermatologist and explain your symptoms with history. Your doctor will suggest you best treatment option after examining you.
You are not allergic to penicillin then itching is less likely to be due to augmentin. Its the fungal infection or some other cause that is causing itching.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Dr. Manisha Auradkar,
